The students have begun the new unit of inquiry, How the World Works. In this unit they will explore how all living things grow and change overtime. In particular they will be observing the life cycles of many different living things such as plants, animals and humans. It should be a fun and exciting new unit.

The students are also continuing their inquiry on addition, however, we will also start to inquire about the concept of graphing and tallying. This week the students brainstormed all of the things they could graph. In the classroom they graphed how many girls and boy there were, different color shoes and they also graphed the number of people who were missing teeth, We will continue graphing over the next few weeks.

We will also continue with guided reading. The students are progressing so quickly and many are already on a new reading level!

Finally, we have started a school-wide mail system. Earlier this week students from 4th grade came and taught our class how to write and address letters. The kindergartners are beyond excited to write letters to their friends all over the school.

Have a great weekend!
